The Times and The Sunday Times dominate their sectors
Having grown its readership by +11% year on year to 1.09m*, The Times is without doubt the print market’s standout performer.
The title’s performance in London and the South East is particularly strong (+13% YoY), and The Times is also a hit among men (+11% YoY). Print circulation figures for the title also mirror this success with +13% growth YoY** considerably outperforming the total segment (-3.6%), and making it the 11th consecutive month of annual growth.
When it comes to digital, The Times had 4.7m*** unique visitors in July and comScore data shows that we are bettering our rivals on mobile – 78% of our unique visitors are mobile only compared to 68% for the Guardian and 67% for the Telegraph.
The Sunday Times is by far the best-read quality Sunday newspaper with a readership of 1.95m*. Its nearest competitor, The Sunday Telegraph, has just over half that amount with 1.14m readers.
Latest print circulation figures show +0.2% YoY growth** for The Sunday Times, making it the third consecutive month of annual growth and beating a -6.6% decline for the total segment.
