What The World’s Biggest Sports Radio Station Did When Live Sport Stopped And How It’s Driving Diversity
We have a great line up from talkSPORT, the world’s biggest sports radio station. News UK’s Group Chief Commercial Officer Dominic Carter will be in conversation with Laura Woods, talkSPORT breakfast presenter; Lee Clayton, Head of talkSPORT; and Kathryn Anastasi, Head of Live Sport at talkSPORT.
Hear about the creative process which kicked off as lockdown shut down live sport internationally; how the station made itself essential listening for a sports community millions-strong looking for escapism and camaraderie; and how it used a multi-platform approach to keep that audience engaged and involved. The panel will also discuss how the station has prepared for the return of the Premier League.
The second half of our discussion will take a look at the approach talkSPORT has taken to diversity and inclusion under the leadership of the station’s Head, Lee Clayton. talkSPORT has made significant strides in the last 18 months to create a more diverse and representative lineup – on and off air. With much more to do, the panel will walk through the lessons learnt and discuss what the station – and the industry – needs to prioritise moving forward.
