The Challenge: To enforce that News UK are market leaders for innovation and forward thinking, as well as launching Method, News UK’s Commercial Creative Agency, we hosted a breakfast event titled ‘Has paid media found its place in PR?’.
Working with Gorkana to host a breakfast briefing, targeting PR professionals from PR Manager’s to Account Directors based in the UK within PR agencies and corporate organisations. The event was anchored by a panel of experts (Tiffanie Darke, Creative Content Director, Emma Tucker, Deputy Editor, The Times and Mark Borkowski, Publicist) discussing 5 focused topics; striking the balance between paid and earned media, Who owns paid media? What does paid media mean for the future of PR? The rise of native advertising.
The event was attended by key figures from the PR industry and was held at the News UK offices in London Bridge.
More than 200 PR professionals attended the event to engage in the panel discussion of topical conversations. In addition, #GorkanaNewsUK trended #1 on Twitter in the UK with 344 tweets and 361 Retweets.
