Futurevote - Inventing exciting new ways to engage young people in politics Participants were by Invitation only

This exciting workshop was aimed at creating powerful new ways of getting more young people engaged in politics. Only 39% of 18-24 year olds voted in the last General Election and so this age group has less of a voice than it could have in major political decisions. So FutureVote brought together a diverse group of 30 16-17 year olds with designers and media mentors to co-create fresh ideas to change this situation. In the workshop, mixed groups brainstormed ideas, testing them out and pitching them to a media panel. The young people learned new techniques for innovation and prototyping from top professionals.
